With an engineering background and Research Technologist with the Alberta Research Council, My experience in developing resources in the wood products industry of Alberta to implement in building and structural products has given me the technical background for structural and mechanical components of home building. This is extremely useful for my buyers, as I have a passion for quality of construction and how a house is put together, along with potential issues and deficiencies. These skills are also instrumental in negotiating better prices for my clients. I also work very closely with home inspectors that are also experts in their field. I am also very detailed in analysis of data and trends. Every month I meticulously plot the average house price in Edmonton, inventory, and the number of sales. What this does is gives my buyers and sellers an accurate sense in how the market is doing. While it is not easy to predict the future, by having tools that show the condition of the market is extremely valuable. As an experienced negotiator, I prefer direct face to face negotiation, so that I can tell the sellers about my clients, who they are, and personalize this transition. This is huge when using persuasive arguments of why we should pay for what we are offering, and is extremely helpful in reaching a win-win situation for both the buyers and the sellers.
